with Orbeez the possibilities are endless...{MAX}

Today was the big day!  Max’s long awaited Orbeez have finally arrived.

For those of you who do not know what Orbeez are, here is what the Orbeez website has to say…  “Orbeez are superabsorbent polymers—that means they are made of several smaller molecules joined together. With the addition of water they can grow to more than 100 times their volume. That’s right, place a tiny Orbeez bead in water and watch it swell! The water is absorbed into the spaces between the molecules. These polymers were invented for agricultural use back in the 1960s to irrigate crops during times of drought. Today you will find superabsorbent polymers in diapers to prevent leaks, in food packages to absorb liquid and in floral vases to hydrate cut flowers.”

And why are these superabsorbent polymers so much fun?  Well, you can stack them, bounce them, roll them, squish them.  As Max says, “with Orbeez the possibilities are endless!”

my wife is going to buy everything here...{JEFF GARLAND}

Max and I have been spending a few days with great friends, Jeff and Jeannie Garlands, in Galax Virginia.  Today we went to a local market.  Jeannie went a little wild with all of the fresh produce.  And although Jeff was pretty tolerant of all our shopping, I did hear him say…”my wife is going to buy everything here!”

We all had the best time, and the food we bought was so yummy.

i saw a dolphin, a crab, a stingray...{MAX}

With our first school year over and summer in full swing, my mom decided to head out to PA for some fun.  My mom, Max, and I took a road trip to the beaches of Outer Banks North Carolina.  (or as the natives like to say OBX)

We spent a long weekend hanging out on the beach…and it was great fun!  If you have never been there before, I highly recommend it.  It is just like a real beach!

Max had the best time playing in the waves, looking for all the different animals, collecting shells, and even surfing.  My mom and I enjoyed the sun, digging in the sand, eating ice cream, and only getting a little sun burnt.

i'm a DJ…{MAX}

Note: This post comes from a guest blogger...Brad.  Trying to embed video links for this post, we'll see how it goes.

We attended the NCAA DI Lacrosse semifinals at M&T Bank Stadium (where the Baltimore Ravens play) a couple of weeks ago.  It was a hot day, but a fun time with friends and watching some good lax.  As we were cheering Maryland on to victory over Duke (they lost to U of Virginia in the finals) Max thought he looked like a DJ with his outfit, a hat he borrowed from a friend, and the bling.

i have never been to a dinner theater before...{Brad & Max}

This last weekend our family headed up to Lancaster to the Dutch Apple Dinner Theater to see the play The Drowsy Chaperone.
Although Max really enjoyed the musical comedy, I think that Brad was more excited about the treat buffet than the show.  All in all it was a great way to spend a warm weekend.

With weather well into the 90s, the Kutz family is into all things summer.  Here are some pictures of how we kicked off the start of summer this holiday weekend.
