is that good, llittle girl...{BRAD}

Yesterday Ruby tried some watermelon for the first time.  Although she didn't really eat that much of the fruit, she did think that gumming it up was a tasty treat!

i could eat this every day...{JEANNI}

Now that we are living in China, it is time to start acting more like the natives...and that means cooking real Chinese dishes.

Today for lunch I made pot stickers, or dumplings.  I was a little nervous and the stove here, along with all the kitchen supplies and utensils, are different than America.  But...the pot stickers turned out great!  They were so tasty.  I told Brad that I could eat them every day.

So if you are ever in China and looking for a hot meal...stop on over at the Kutz house for some pot stickers!

i am gonna get this all the time...{MAX}

Tonight Max got 99% on his Chinese test. (the whole family is currently taking Chinese language lessons). For doing such a great job, Max was rewarded with a trip to Dairy Queen.

Every time we go to Dairy Queen, I always get a dipped cone. Tonight Max discovered this tasty treat for the first time!

is it warm in duluth...{JEANNI}

Brad has been spending his work week in Duluth. He will be doing this until he relocates to Zhuhai China. Max, Ruby, and I have been staying in the twin cities.

With the nice weather here in the cities, I thought that Duluth might be experiencing the same warm temps.

Take a look at the recent weather in Duluth!

i got sand in my shirt...{LANDON}

A few days ago the kids and I met our friends at the park.  Cole, Max and Landon had a great time playing at the play park while Ruby spent some time laying in the sunshine.

how was china...{FAMILY & FRIENDS}

Today was our first day back in the United States after spending 10 days in China.

We spent a few days seeing Hong Kong. Most of our time was spent in Zhuhai, which is in main land China.

We had a great time exploring the city where we will be living for the next few years. Here are some photos from the trip...

cool, or crazy...{JEANNI}

Today the whole family is headed to China for the first time. It is either a really cool opportunity, or we are all really crazy. We haven't figured that out yet!

Here is a picture of the kids with their Delta wings after the first leg of the trip.

i got a two dollar...{MAX}

Last night Max noticed that his tooth was extra wiggly.  He told me that he was going to try to pull it out.  I was surprised that he wouldn't be afraid to actually pull the tooth out.  But not 5 minutes later the tooth had been pulled.

Last night the tooth fairy visited our house for the first time.  "I got a 2 dollar!" was how I was woken up this morning by Max.

this is my happy face...{BRAD}

Our family has been doing a bit of driving in the last few weeks. Not a surprise that all the driving gets old fast!

I snapped this picture about 1/2 way through our last road trip.

geebee, your baby is crying...{BRAD}

When ever Ruby starts crying, Brad will say..."GeeBee your baby is crying, go help your baby."  When GeeBee hears this, he runs around like crazy trying to please his master.

Well so far the only thing that GeeBee has figured out with this baby is...the people turn the fire place on more with this baby, so I am going to lay right by her to get all the warmth!

little hands always remind me of my dad...{JEANNI}

My dad, Mark, always loved baby's little hands.  I don't know if it is how tiny they are...or the small little dimples, but I will say I also love them.  Max even loves how Ruby will hold onto his little finger.

now i can't eat apples because i have to keep it safe...{MAX}

Max finally has his first loose tooth.  As soon as he thought he felt a wiggle, he had us check it for him.  Sure enough...the tooth is loose.  He then declared to us that apples were out of the question for him as he would need to keep his tooth safe.

i wonder who got it...{MAX}

Yesterday our little...not so little boy turned 7 years old.  And just like most events in Max's life, yesterday was the "best birthday ever."

So what played such a big role in the best birthday ever?  Well...there was ihop, cake, and gifts!  We are truly a blessed family, and Max is no exception.  He received so many wonderful gifts.  One of his favorites was just delivered on his birthday.  A big brown box showed up at our door.  Max was so excited to open it up and see what it was, and who it came from.

Well, it was a remote controlled helicopter.  And the who...that we still do not know.  There was no tag or shipping information.

So who ever you are mystery gifter...thank you for making my little boy's birthday the best day ever!

teach me how to raji...{MAX}

Although the Packers do not play this weekend, we are still loving some Sunday football at the Kutz house.  Brad is teaching Max all the finer details of football like what a first down is, how many points you receive with a safety and how to score a safety, and what play action is.

While we were watching the Sunday games, we saw a new Green Bay Packers State Farm commercial.  (Max loves these commercials!)  This new one features BJ Raji, one of Max's most favorite players for the Packers...second only to Aaron Rodgers.

This might make you laugh as much as Max...

Max also loves the clip of other Packer players trying to do "the Raji"...

are you nervous...{BRAD & JEANNI}

Today in church Max served as an acolyte for the first time.  Both Brad and I asked Max if he was nervous to be in front of the church during a service.  Max told Brad that he wasn't scared and he was ready, but earlier Max told me that he was scared to make a mistake in front of the whole church.

Even though it was Max's first time....he did great.
